Carol Racinowski

DIAMOND—Carol Jean Racinowski, 61, of Diamond and formerly of Coal City, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017 at her home.
Born Jan. 10, 1956 in Morris. Carol Jean was a daughter to Henry and Anna (Bouwman) Racinowski. She was raised and educated in Coal City and graduated from Coal City High School with the class of 1974. Carol worked for Ecolab in Joliet for twenty plus years as a Forklift operator.
She will be remembered for her love of fishing, gambling and music from her generation.
Survivors include her brother: Ronald "Casey" Racinowski and sister: Cynthia "Cindy" Brown of Coal City; nine nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law: Vernon Proud of Coal City and sister-in-law: Janice Racinowski of Wisconsin.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Bobby Racinowski and sister: Kathy (nee Racinowski) Proud.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 from 1 p.m. until time of service 4 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Reverend Brad Shumaker from Coal City United Methodist Church will officiate.
Flameless cremation rites will be accorded following services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made as gifts in Carol's memory to the American Cancer Society or the Grundy County Humane Society.
