Coalers, 'Cats stay undefeated, Comets fall

The Coalers and Wildcats stayed undefeated during Week 4 of the football season, while the Comets lacked enough fight in the second half to get a victory.
Coal City’s Daniel Jezik compiled 226 all-purpose yards, his third 200-yard performance of the season, to help the Coalers shutout Peotone 20-0.
At Wilmington, Jake Rodawold racked up 271 yards and scored three touchdowns to led the Wildcats to a 51-21 win over Manteno. The freshly off-injured junior Wilmington junior Trey Shaw was back nuring an ankle for two weeks, to run for 102 yards with touchdowns. Quaterback Keaton Hopwood also ran in two touchdowns.
The Comets were down early after Streator’s 15 unanswered points and that happened to be the halftime score. And sophomore quarterback Dylan Garrelts did a nice job manning the offense with 161 yards through the air with a score and a pick but the Comet defense had a hard time stopping the Bulldog air attack in a 30-13 loss to Streator.
