Madonna Mullins

COAL CITY—Madonna Gervaise Mullins (nee Lawrence), 88, of Coal City, passed away Jan. 19, 2019 at Heritage Health in Dwight.  
She was born to Paul and Ethel Lawrence on Dec. 20, 1930 and was raised in Mazon. She married Hilliary “Moon” Mullins in 1951 and they resided in Kinsman for many years until moving to Coal City in 1985. Madonna loved crocheting, knitting and sewing and created many beautiful tablecloths, blankets and afghans.  She loved to read and spend time with her family.  
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Jim) Stevens; two grandchildren, Kristen Liebermann and Nick (Tanya) Stevens, all of Morris; three great-grandchildren who she adored: Angelise Stevens, Emmitt Liebermann and Vanna Liebermann; her sister, Jean Schriner, of Kankakee and nieces and nephews.
Madonna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Moon in 2010 and her three sisters: June, Marge and Delores.               Cremation rites have been accorded.  She will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery beside her husband, Moon. Services will be private.
