WILMINGTON— William L. Brooks, Jr., 60, of Wilmington, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
Born November 24, 1959 in Pontiac, William is a son of Barbara (nee Hillman) and the late William L. Brooks, Sr. of Gardner. He was raised in Gardner and graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School with the Class of 1977.

GOOSE LAKE—Keegan N. Kenney, 25, of Goose Lake, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 26, 2020.
Keegan was born on Sept. 23, 1994 in Virginia Beach, VA. to Terry Johnson and David Kenney. She attended Coal City schools graduating with the class of 2013. Keegan had a passion for music and enjoyed singing and dancing. She was an animal lover who also liked all things that are shiny. Keegan loved laughter and big hugs. Her laugh could be heard for miles. And despite all things, she was joyful.

COAL CITY—Arie Edward Brown Sr., 82, of Coal City, passed away March 28, 2020 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet. Born Sept. 5, 1937 in Fare City, AR, he was the son of Ollie and Goldie (nee Caples) Brown. He was the former owner and operator of Family Ties Bar in Chicago. Arie was a member of the Independent Truck Driver Union in Chicago. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

MORRIS—Donald Stephen Boyer, 70, of Morris, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Loyola University Medical Center. He was born in Joliet, the son of the late Stephen and Juanita (Wilson) Boyer. Following the death of Don's father, John Fink Sr. was instrumental in raising him. He resided in Morris since 1999.

He was born Sept. 6, 1937 in Morris to Leonard and Mary (Walsh) Kodat. He married Peggy Anderson on Oct. 14, 1961 in Verona, IL.

ROSEVILLE, CA—Judith Ann Chesser, 55, of Roseville, CA, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2020 at her home.
Born on November 6, 1964 in Belleville, IL, Judith Ann was the seventh of eight daughters born to Carl Eugene and Jessie Louise (nee Woodson) Chesser.
Judy was raised in Wilmington, completed her Associates Degree in the Arts in 1984 from Joliet Junior College, and her passion for sports and kids provided for a lifelong career in education and coaching.

WILMINGTON—Jeff P. Jones, 59, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the University of Chicago Bernard Mitchell Hospital in Chicago.
Born Dec. 29, 1960 in Joliet, Jeffery Paul was a son of Charlotte (nee Harding) Jones and Harry T. Jones. He was raised in Wilmington; attended St. Rose Parochial School and graduated from Wilmington High School with the class of 1980.

BRAIDWOOD—Carroll E. Simpson, 77, of Braidwood, passed away at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. He was born Feb. 13, 1942 in Fairfield, IL.
Carroll was a proud member of Pipefitters Local 597 Union for over 45 years. After retirement he enjoyed his tractors, tractor shows and auctions. Carroll loved his family and his dog, Maggie.
