WILMINGTON—Rosalie L. Stava, 76, of Wilmington, passed away to be with the Lord on Dec. 30, 2024, while fighting stage IV cancer.
Born in Chicago, IL on March 4, 1948. Mother to three children: Joseph (Marypat), Jason (Laura), Joellen (Mike).
Grandmother to Elizabeth (Jeff) and Nicholas. Great-Grandmother to Grace & Matthew.

Kenneth Brockman

MORRIS—Kenneth Brockman, 94 of Morris, passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2024 at Arcadia Care of Morris.
Born Sept. 5, 1930 in Marseilles, IL, Kenneth was one of nine children to Omer and Myrtle (Mills) Brockman. He was raised and educated in Marseilles and graduated from Marseilles High School with the Class of 1949. Following high school, Kenneth served honorably in the United States Army, and on Jan. 27, 1952 he married Mary Donahoe in Morris. Together they would make their home and raise their family on their family farm.

BRAIDWOOD—Gary Joseph Cervenka, 84 of Braidwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024 at his home.
Born Feb. 10, 1940 in Chicago, Gary was a son of Francis Cervenka, Jr. and Emily Brabeck. He was raised and educated in Chicago, and worked for Premier Refractories, formerly known as CE Refractories. Gary began his career there in 1966 holding several different positions over the years, including Foreman and Traffic Manager, until he formally retired.

She was born on Jan. 22, 1971, in Dixon, IL, Julee was a cherished daughter, beloved wife, devoted mother, and a friend to many. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

Marjorie Yeates

WILMINGTON— Marjorie Jean Yeates, 92 of Wilmington, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 at her home. She was born on June 3, 1932 to Francis and Ethel Gentile in Oswego, NY. While there, she met her husband and love of her life, Thomas Yeates. They married on June 4, 1955. After Tom retired from the Coast Guard, they settled their lives in Braidwood and raised their five children here. Marge was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Braidwood as well as a women's bowling league she enjoyed with her friends for many years.

WILMINGTON— Charles Allen Kiper, 74 of Wilmington, formerly of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024 at Aperion Care in Wilmington.
Born July 9, 1950 in Leitchfield, Charles Allen was a son of George and Mary (Poole) Kiper. He was raised and educated in Leitchfield with his five siblings. In 1968, Charles Allen married the late Kathy Bell, and she preceded him in death in 1974.

DWIGHT—Joel David Leenerman, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 16, 2024. He was only 44 years old, and his family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.
Joel was born on Jan. 1, 1980 in Morris. He grew up in Dwight, and attended Dwight Elementary School and Dwight Township High School, graduating in 1998. Joel was a hard worker and was employed by Grainger for several years and most recently at the Aldi Distribution Center in Dwight.

Betty Ann Aylward

COAL CITY— Betty Ann Aylward, 74, of Coal City, and formerly of Oak Lawn, IL passed away on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
Born on Aug. 13, 1950, in Streator, IL, Betty Ann was the daughter of Carl and Anna (Kovach) Webber. She was raised in Carpentersville, IL, and graduated from Barrington High School with the Class of 1968. After high school, Betty worked for Time Life in Chicago before dedicating herself to her home and raising her family. She later went on to own and operate Elite Secretarial Service in Evergreen Park, IL.
