MORRIS—Donald C. Kaufman, 89, of Morris, passed away peacefully at his home in Morris on March 19, 2025.
Born on May 2, 1935, in Crescent City, IL, Donald was the son of Herman and Florence Marie (Prault) Kaufman. At an early age, his family moved to a farm in rural Watseka, where he developed a deep appreciation for agriculture and the values of hard work and perseverance. That same farm, which he later co-owned with his brother, was recognized as a Centennial Farm by the Illinois Department of Agriculture in 2019.

Carolyn M. Sinkular Sayler

MAHOMET, IL— Carolyn M. (Shenk) Sinkular Sayler from Mahomet, IL passed away March 12, 2025, at the age of 90. Carolyn was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Joliet, daughter of Vera (Blogg) and William Shenk.

COAL CITY— Danny E. Anderson “Dan,” 86, of Coal City, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Morris Hospital in Morris. Born Nov. 3, 1938 in Dwight, IL to the late Robert G. and Eileen (nee Sorensen) Anderson. Graduate of Dwight High School in 1956. Danny married Gail Koca on May 20, 1960. Veteran of the United States Army, serving 1962-1964. He took an Honor Flight of Chicago in 2024. Member of the Coal City United Methodist Church. Danny was a Cement Mason for 62 years, retiring in 2018.

MORRIS—Fred Davidson, 84 of Morris, and formerly of Coal City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2025, at Serenity Estates of Morris.
Born Nov. 5, 1940, in Dongola, IL, Fred was the son of Carl and Elsie (Davis) Davidson. He was raised in Cairo, IL, and graduated from Cairo High School with the Class of 1958. Shortly after, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served in Germany from July 1958 until his honorable discharge in April 1961.

Jerome Panzer

WILMINGTON—Jerome "Jerry" Joel Panzer, 85, of Wilmington, and formerly of Summit, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Born Feb. 10, 1940, in Oak Park, IL, Jerome was the son of Joseph R. and Frances (Haarbauer) Panzer. He was raised and educated in Summit Argo and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era (1963-1965). Jerome dedicated 34 years of service to CPC International before retiring. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting and fishing, cherishing the peace and adventure they brought.

WILMINGTON— Jean Ann Stainbrook, 92, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, March 10, 2025, at Eden Vista of Rock Run in Joliet.
Born Aug. 4, 1932, in Chicago, Jean Ann was the daughter of John and Lucille (Bertino) Parkinson. She was raised and educated in Wilmington, where she graduated from Wilmington High School.

COAL CITY—Donald J. Frey, 89, of Coal City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet.
Born on Feb. 8, 1936, in Newport, MI, Don was a twin son of Clifford and Pearl (Nadeau) Frey. He was raised in Newport and attended Monroe Catholic Central High School.

WILMINGTON—Jean Stainbrook, 92, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Eden Vista of Rock Run in Joliet.
Born Aug. 4, 1932, in Chicago, Jean Ann was the daughter of John and Lucille (Bertino) Parkinson. She was raised and educated in Wilmington, where she graduated from Wilmington High School.

Billie Jean Griffiths

ELWOOD—Billie Jean Griffiths (Benish), 89, of Elwood, passed away peacefully at her home on March 5, 2025.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1935, in Sydney, NE, the daughter of William and Vivian Benish. Billie was raised on a farm in Potter, NE where she began helping with the responsibilities of farm life at a young age, including driving a grain truck when she was only 12. She also had many fond memories of school dances and being with friends, and of course, meeting her best friend and future husband, Bill Griffiths, when he came to work with her father.

BRAIDWOOD—Sherry Fieldman, 82, of Braidwood, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL.
Born on July 11, 1942 in Bloomington, IL, she was the daughter of John and Sylvia (nee Patterson) Boman. On July 6, 1985 she married Lee Fieldman in Wilmington. She enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family.
