Rosa Lee Koslowski

MISSOURI—Rosa Lee Koslowski, daughter of Alvin and Esther (nee Schumacher) Zinnel, was born Jan. 4, 1943 in Algona, IA. She departed this life on Dec. 31, 2024 at Cedarhurst Memory Care Facility in Lebanon, MO, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 27 days.
On Dec. 26, 1959 she was united in marriage to Marty, and in this union they raised three children. Together they shared 65 years of marriage. A lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish, Rosa Lee's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was getting lost in a good book, enjoying a peaceful walk, or cherishing moments with family and friends. Her kindness, quiet strength, and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Marty, who is also a resident of Cedarhurst Senior Living; three children: Anita (the late Gary) Pinson, of Linn Creek, MO; Ronald Koslowski, of Wilmington and Danny (Cheryl) Koslowski, of Braidwood; eight grandchildren: James Cole, Amy Cole, Michelle Warner, Melissa Hanger, Gregory Pinson, Jonathan Pinson, Kristen Koslowski and Melissa Koslowski, as well as 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Esther Zinnel; one granddaughter, Karissa Pinson and brothers and sisters: Don (Darlene) Zinnel, Sandra (Bobby) Stehlik, Carolin (Jim) Bunting and Jolene (George) Williams.
Funeral services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 110 S. School St. in Braidwood on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 at 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Josh Miller presiding and Deacon Greg Cummins assisting.
Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Braidwood.
Pallbearers will be: James Bunting, Kurt Stehlik, Scott Stehlik, Jeff Housman, Dorian Zinnel and Dion Zinnel.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Rosa Lee's memory to her family for distribution to charities of their choosing.
