CCHS to hold Prom Walk on Saturday

WHO WILL WEAR THE CROWN? Fire and Ice is the theme of Coal City High School’s junior/senior prom. The annual spring formal will be held Saturday, May 6 at Jennifer’s Garden Banquet Center in Morris with over 230 students in attendance. Eight members of the senior class have been selected by their peers to serve on the prom court. Those students are [from left, row one]: Carley Morris, Peyton Benson, Alyssa Bowles and Skylar Milinkovic. Row two: Derek Carlson, Michael Gonzalez, Brady Ehman and Kaelan Natyshok. The court will be recognized and two of the students will be crowned prom king and queen during the dance.

Coal City High School’s prom is this Saturday, May 6 and the public is invited to come out and view the pomp of prom.

Parents of students attending the prom and other interested individuals are invited to Prom Walk in the Coal City Performing Arts Center.

The event provides an opportunity for parents and community members to take photographs and view all of the students as they off to the spring formal.

Beginning at 4:45 p.m. students will be announced and walk across the auditorium stage and on to waiting buses that will take them to them the prom venue, Jennifer’s Garden in Morris.

In holding Prom Walk, the school’s administration, prom sponsors and prom goers ask that parents no travel to the banquet facility to take photos. All photos should be taken at or prior to Prom Walk.

Those planning to attend should arrive prior to the start, park in the west lot and proceed to the event entrance. Doors to the performing arts center will open at 4:30 p.m.
